David Vobora Finds Purpose In Training Elite And Adaptive Athletes

David Vobora took a beating on the field and off as an NFL Player and he fought back every time. He overcame the title “Mr. Irrelevant” after he was drafted and through hard work and determination he shed that title by becoming an elite NFL player. He then battled and overcame an addiction to pain medication due to the severe injuries he sustained throughout his career. It was after he retired from the St. Louis Rams that David found his true path. Today, David Vobora has painstakingly built a business and a dream around training adaptive athletes, many of them wounded veterans.

{Recast} In January of 2014, after retiring from the NFL and overcoming an addiction to pain medication, David Vobora, a 5-year veteran of the NFL, met US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, a quadruple amputee. That's when everything changed for David.

David Vobora opened up his personal gym to Travis, offering his training expertise. The pair started working out together, customizing and adapting to the unique challenges posed by Travis’ injuries.

Through working with Travis and engaging the veteran community, David found his true path and developed a passion for helping those with life-altering injuries find fulfillment again through his adaptive training programs.

Today, David Vobora has painstakingly built a business and a dream around training adaptive athletes, many of them wounded veterans.
